Our Established Experience
Nilsson Architects was founded in 1975 after winning a competition to design a new Swedish school in London on the banks of the Thames.
News of our success resulted in a number of commissions - from residential developments to offices and industrial buildings - mainly within London and the Home Counties.
- Observatory Gardens: A groundbreaking development of 53 new build apartments behind a retained period fa&ccedi;ade hit the headlines in 1993.
- The Bromptons: A ‘revival’ scheme of a Grade II listed building completed in 2000 and described by The Times , "as one of the finest residential developments in the world".
- Earls Terrace: The redevelopment of an entire terrace of 25 Grade II listed Georgian houses, completed in 1999.
- The Phillimores: A revival conversion of a listed former college to create 66 apartments with underground parking completed in 2004.
Over the last five years Nilsson’s have been involved in a number of new build residential schemes including :
- Vicarage Gate: A proposal for 12 new build lateral apartments with underground parking (awaiting planning)
- Kings Chelsea: 289 apartments and houses (auditing architects) completed in 2005
- Phillimore Square: Design and procurement of planning consent for a new build scheme of 8 houses and 32 apartments around a new London Garden Square.
