Once the longest single terrace of imposing houses, Lancaster Gate was built in the mid 19th Century to a French Renaissance style. Ceiling heights of 5m will be reinstated to recreate the ballroom style reception rooms that face south over private gardens and Hyde Park beyond. The interior fabric of the buildings was so badly damaged by the buildings conversion to an hotel in the 1970’s, it will be renewed in keeping with the form plan of the original terrace.

The brief for the development will ensure that the features of the past are re-instated alongside the amenities of a modern apartment building, including the infrastructure for all technology, a spa clinic and valet underground parking. These plans will also involve hard and soft landscaping with the addition of new semi-mature trees to the streetscape of Lancaster Gate and the private garden fronting Hyde Park.

Our ever evolving designs will ensure that The Lancasters will become another highly acclaimed development of inherent character, with all the benefits of the best of both worlds.
